Yeast Life-Span Extension by Calorie Restriction Is Independent of NAD Fluctuation

Calorie restriction (CR) slows aging in numerous species. In the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, this effect requires Sir2, a conserved NAD(+)-dependent deacetylase.
