Practical Synthesis of PC190723, An Inhibitor of the Bacterial Cell Division Protein FtsZ
[Image: see text] A high-yielding and practical synthesis of the bacterial cell division inhibitor PC190723 is described. The synthesis is completed in a longest linear sequence of five steps from commercially available starting materials and can be readily executed on a multi-gram scale.
