Intracellular Na(+) inhibits voltage-dependent N-type Ca(2+) channels by a G protein βγ subunit-dependent mechanism

N-type voltage-dependent Ca(2+) channels (N-VDCCs) play important roles in neurotransmitter release and certain postsynaptic phenomena.
