Synthesis of potential anti-inflammatory compounds, selective inhibitors of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)
Seven compounds were synthesized as potential antiinflammatorydrugs, selective inhibitors of the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). The structural design was based on the knowledgeof the active site of the enzyme. The synthesized compounds presenta combined naproxen and celecoxib structures.
