Identity Crisis: It’s Not Just Foxp3 Anymore
What does it take to make a regulatory T (Treg) cell? In this issue of Immunity, Ohkura et al. (2012) show that Treg cell-specific CpG hypomethylation and Foxp3 expression are independent events required for Treg cell development, stability and full suppressive activity.
