The crystal structure of the title compound, C(16)H(26)NO(2) (+)·C(18)H(13)O(8) (−), is stabilized by an extensive network of classical N—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonding. The crystal structure also shows an ammonium-driven diastereoisomerism.
