Simple staining procedure permits rapid counting of mycoplasma colonies.
A staining procedure employing oil red O and Coomassie R-250 was developed to increase visualization of mycoplasma colonies. This procedure permits CFU determination of mycoplasmas without additional microscopy. IMAGES:
