Improved method of in vitro production of Cyathus stercoreus gastrocarps
Cyathus stercoreus was induced to form gastrocarps in laboratory culture on manuredwheat straw. Gastrocarps produced in culture exhibit little morphological variationfrom those obtained in nature and can be used to demonstrate splash dispersal and thestructure and development of the funicular cord.
