Hessians, warped products and eigenvalues
We use the Hessian - Weitzenböck formula to simplify the exposition of several well knowntheorems. We present a unied treatment of the theorems of Lichnerowicz - Obata, Reillyand Escobar regarding the rst eigenvalue of the Laplacian on Manifolds
