Resolving the metabolon: is the proof in the metabolite?
Metabolons are supra‐molecular complexes of metabolic enzymes and cellular structural elements. Even though the term was coined 35 years ago, the existence of metabolons was only recently demonstrated by a combination of metabolomics and state‐of‐the‐art mass spectrometry.[Image: see text]
