The title compound, [Ni(C(14)H(12)BrN(2)O)(2)][Ni(C(14)H(13)BrN(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2)·CH(3)OH consists of two mononuclear ([Ni(HL)(2)](2+) and [NiL (2)]) complex mol­ecules linked by strong hydrogen bonding [O⋯O separations of only 2.430 (5) Å], which is the shortest reported to date for such species....
