Use of an implantable cardioverter defibrillator in a patient with a rate responsive pacemaker.
A patient dependent on a pacemaker and with a rate responsive unit presented with symptomatic ventricular tachycardia despite drug treatment. He was managed with a third generation implantable cardioverter defibrillator, while rate responsive pacing was maintained. IMAGES:
