Acute myocarditis. Role of histological and virological examination in the diagnosis and assessment of immunosuppressive treatment.
Twelve patients, who presented with congestive cardiac failure after a recent influenza like illness, had a clinical diagnosis of acute myocarditis confirmed histologically after endomyocardial biopsy.
