Pulmonary Mycobacterium malmoense and aspergillus infection: a fatal combination?
Three patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease developed coexisting Mycobacterium malmoense and aspergillus infection. All suffered progressive lung destruction leading to early death despite prolonged antimycobacterial chemotherapy. IMAGES:
