Pleuropulmonary infection with chest wall infiltration by Eikenella corrodens.

Eikenella corrodens is a facultative anaerobic bacillus which is part of the normal flora of the oral cavity and has an unusual antibiotic sensitivity for an anaerobe. The case history is presented of a young man with chest wall infiltration by Eikenella corrodens. IMAGES:
