Pulmonary nodules due to reactive systemic amyloidosis (AA) in Crohn's disease.
Multiple nodules of AA (reactive systemic) amyloid were identified at necropsy in the lungs of a patient with Crohn's disease. No other organs were involved. Nodular pulmonary amyloidosis is usually caused by deposition of AL (primary) amyloid. IMAGES:
