Antigenic Nature of Bacterial Flagellar Hook Structures
The bacterial flagellar hook is antigenically distinct from the remainder of the flagellum. This conclusion is based on electron microscopic observation of intact flagella coated with antisera prepared with flagellar filaments and purified flagellar hooks. IMAGES:
