Studies on Gonococcus Infection IX. In Vitro Decreased Association of Pilated Gonococci with Mouse Peritoneal Macrophages
Pili, in addition to enhancing attachment of gonococci to tissue culture cells, appear to reduce association (attachment/ingestion) of Neisseria gonorrhoeae with mouse peritoneal macrophages in vitro. IMAGES:
