Role of Staphylococcus aureus cell wall antigens in the stimulation of delayed hypersensitivity after staphylococcal infection.

In Staphylococcus aureus-infected mice, prior treatment with cyclophosphamide enhanced delayed hypersensitivity to cell walls and peptidoglycan. S. aureus did not cross react with S. epidermidis or S. saprophyticus.
