Big bang theory of stem-like T cells confirmed
In this issue of Blood, Stemberger et al show that the progeny of a single CD62L(hi) cell can provide protection against bacterial challenge and that ultra-low doses of cytomegalovirus (CMV)-specific CD8(+) T cells can expand greatly in humans.(1)
