Microbial Flora of Pecan Meat
Microorganisms found associated with commercially shelled pecan meats are numerous and varied. No bacteria and only two fungal microorganisms, Aspergillus clavatus and Tricothecium species, were found on aseptically shelled pecans. IMAGES:
