Aseptic loosening of Boneloc(R) cemented hip prostheses
cement was used in 108, and Palacos(R) cement with gentamicin in 39 patients who had an increased risk of infection. At follow-up after 24 to 39 months, 26 cases with Boneloc(R) cement had failed; there were no clinical failures in the Palacos(R) group.
