Dimethyl(1,10-phenanthroline-κ(2) N,N′)bis(thiocyanato-κN)tin(IV)
The Sn(IV) atom in the title compound, [Sn(CH(3))(2)(NCS)(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))], is located on a twofold rotation axis in a distorted octahedral enviroment. The methyl groups are trans to each other [C—Sn—C = 175.7 (3)°], whereas the thiocyanate groups are cis to each other.
