Ends of the RNA within Sendai virus defective interfering nucleocapsids are not free.
Sendai virus defective interfering nucleocapsids, isolated from infected cell cytoplasm by equilibrium banding in CsCl gradients, contain only the viral N protein. Neither end of the genomic RNA within these nucleocapsids is accessible to RNase digestion. IMAGES:
