[Image: see text] Lorcaserin (APD-356) is the first in a new class of selective serotonin 5-hydroxytryptamine(2C) (5-HT(2C)) receptor agonists. On December 22, 2009, the compound's developer (Arena Pharmaceuticals) submitted an NDA to the FDA for approval for weight management.
