The title hydrazone compound, C(15)H(13)ClN(2)O, adopts an E configuration about the C=N double bond. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 13.1 (2)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked through N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains parallel to [101].
