Hemangiomas are hamartomatous proliferation of vessels. Intraosseous hemangiomas of the facial bones are rare and most commonly involve the zygoma, maxilla, mandible, and the nasal bones. A “sunburst” pattern is a typical appearance on CT scan and MRI and therefore a biopsy is not always necessary....
