In the title compound, C(13)H(10)ClNO, the meta-chloro group on the benzoyl ring is positioned syn to the C=O bond. The two aromatic rings make a dihedral angle of 88.5 (3)°. In the crystal, N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into C(4) chains propagating in [010].
