Selection of sequence elements that substitute for the standard AATAAA motif which signals 3' processing and polyadenylation of late simian virus 40 mRNAs.
A method is described which allows selection of sequences which can substitute for the normal AATAAA hexanucleotide involved in polyadenylation of SV40 late mRNAs.
