In the title compound, C(20)H(14)N(2), the carbazole ring system is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.187 Å) and is inclined at an angle of 54.33 (4) ° with respect to the benzene ring. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak C—H⋯N and C—H⋯π interactions.
