The title compound, C(16)H(16)N(2)O·0.5H(2)O, is a substituted 1-phenylbenzimidazole, which belongs to the class of ATP-site inhibitors of the platelet-derived growth-factor receptor. In the crystal, the components are linked by an O—H⋯N hydrogen bond.
