In the title compound, C(16)H(13)ClN(2)S, the dihedral angle between the 4-chlorobenzaldehyde moiety and the heterocyclic five-membered ring is 7.21 (17)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak C—H⋯π interactions, generating [100] chains.
