In the title compound, C(9)H(10)O(4), the dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the –CO(2) unit is 11.93 (8)° and the conformation of the 2-hydroxyethyl side chain is gauche [O—C—C—O = −71.91 (17)°]. In the crystal, molecules are linked by O—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds....
