In the title compound, C(9)H(12)N(2)O(2), the acetohydrazide group is approximately planar [maximum deviation = 0.034 (2) Å]. In the crystal, molecules are linked via intermolecular N—H⋯O, N—H⋯N and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into infinite two-dimensional networks parallel to (001).
