In the title compound, C(18)H(12)Cl(2)O(2)S, the dihedral angle between the thiophene ring and the naphthalene ring system is 2.13 (4)°. In the crystal, pairs of weak intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds form centrosymmetric dimers.
