In the title compound, [Cu(C(16)H(12)Br(2)N(2)O(2))], the Cu(II) atom is coordinated in a slightly distorted square-planar geometry by two O and two N atoms of the tetradentate dianionic 4,4′-dibromo-2,2′-[ethane-1,2-diylbis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenolate Schiff base ligand.
