The Ag(I) atom in the salt, [Ag(C(4)H(6)N(2))(2)]NO(3)·2H(2)O, shows a nearly linear coordination [N—Ag—N = 178.26 (7)°]. The cation, anion and water molecules are linked by N—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a layer motif extending parallel to (101).
