In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Sn(C(7)H(6)Cl)(2)Cl(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))], the Sn(IV) atom is chelated by the N-heterocycle and the metal atom exists in a trans-C(2)SnCl(2)N(2) distorted octahedral coordination environment.
