In the molecule of the title compound, C(16)H(14)O(2), the aromatic rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 78.49 (3)°. The heterocyclic ring adopts a twist conformation. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains along the c axis.
