The title compound, C(10)H(7)Cl(2)NO, features a planar molecule, excluding the methyl H atoms [maximum deviation = 0.0385 (1) Å]. The crystal packing is stabilized by π–π stacking interactions across inversion centres [centroid-to-centroid distance = 3.736 (3) Å].
