In the title complex, [PtBr(2)(CH(3))(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(2)], the Pt(IV) metal centre lies on a twofold rotation axis and adopts a slightly distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The structure displays weak intramolecular C—H⋯Br hydrogen-bonding interactions.
