The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C(4)H(8)N(4)·3H(2)O, contains two crystallographically independent 4-amino-3,5-dimethyl-1,2,4-triazole molecules and three water molecules. The structure exhibits N—H⋯O, O—H⋯N and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
