In the title compound, C(13)H(9)BrO(2), the molecular conformation is stabilized by an intramolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal structure, weak intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen-bonding interactions link the molecules into chains along the c-axis direction.
