Apical Vesicles in Growing Bud Cells of Heterobasidiomycetous Yeasts
Clusters of cytoplasmic vesicles resembling those in growing hyphal apices of mycelial fungi are found near the tips of buds in three heterobasidiomycetous yeasts, Rhodotorula glutinis, Candida scottii, and Sporobolomyces salmonicolor. IMAGES:
