Plaque Assay of Rabies Virus on Porcine Kidney Cell Monolayers
The ERA strain of rabies virus was adapted to growth on monolayers of a porcine kidney cell line (PK-2A). A reproducible plaque assay system was subsequently developed, which appears to be satisfactory for conducting plaque neutralization tests. IMAGES:
