Induction of Mutants of Staphylococcus aureus 100 with Increased Ability to Produce Enterotoxin A
As a result of serial exposures to a mutagenic agent, N-methyl-N′-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine, the yield of enterotoxin A produced by the last mutant in the series was increased nearly 20-fold over the amount produced by the parent Staphylococcus aureus 100. IMAGES:
