Pre-peritoneal prosthetic herniorraphy
The usual operations for inguinal hernia suffer from a number of undesirable features, which are briefly discussed. A new operation is described, in which the sites for potential herniation are protected with a synthetic prosthesis, as in Usher's method of incisional herniorrhaphy (1962).
