Identification of an Insertion Sequence in the Chromosome of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO
An insertion sequence, IS22, in Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO was identified by its genetic properties. It occurred as a single copy in the chromosome, as shown by Southern hybridization. A restriction map of it was constructed.
