DNA homology of the promoter-distal regions of the tra operons of sex factors F and R100 in Escherichia coli K-12.
The promoter-distal regions of the tra operons of F and R100-1 were analyzed by heteroduplex analysis, and the regions of nonhomology were identified. A common EcoRI restriction site was shown to be present, and this has allowed the physical maps to be aligned. IMAGES:
