Infrequent cleavage of cloned Anabaena variabilis DNA by restriction endonucleases from A. variabilis.

A cosmid vector has been constructed, using a lambda replicon. A library of cosmids from Anabaena variabilis ATCC 29413 based on use of this vector is shown to be highly deficient in sites for the two type II restriction endonucleases found in that organism. IMAGES:
